The time is now; Ducks O’er the Dam is on Saturday, September 3! There’ll be fun for the whole family – food, games, and water relay races (for older children) starting at noon (Ducks launch at 1 pm). Do you have your six-quack yet? Ducks will be available to adopt at the dam the day of the race, or, to beat the crowds ahead of time (by September 1), go to our website, and find the “Adopt a Duck” link, or you can visit the Isinglass Store or Karen and Julio’s. Calling all chili and chowder chefs! Does your chili or chowder recipe get rave reviews from family and friends? Put it to the test on October 8 at our very popular annual Chili and Chowder Challenge. You don’t want to miss it! This year, to make it even more interesting, there will be anonymous serving of our delicious entries. Don’t let your neighbor have bragging rights; to sign up for this popular event, call Michelle Benger at 664-5745 and throw your chef’s hat into the ring!


Thursday, September 8 marks the debut of Art Night Out at the Bow Lake Grange Hall, from 6-7pm. Materials for a fun and creative art piece will be provided along with refreshments and snacks. Cost is only $25. (cash or check) payable on arrival. Advance registration is highly encouraged as space is limited. This is the perfect activity to share with friends. Yoga Classes continue in September! Join Lanta Bice Totten Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7 pm at the Bow Lake Grange Hall for community yoga classes. There are no set fees; donations welcome.


Tune Your Radios to The Lakeside Players in November! Mark your calendars for November 4-6 for our first-ever old time radio show mystery at the Bow Lake Grange Hall.  Ever wanted to be a famous voice? Come and try out on Wednesday, September 7, at 7:30 pm or email Paula King Baker at .
